Retro Cottage, Nannup
Poppy’s Place
We now offer a self-contained option for accommodation in Nannup – perfect for you if you are travelling with young children or if you prefer to self-cater.
Originally one of the first shops in Nannup, this quaint cottage is part of the Nannup Heritage Trail. Poppy’s Place, at 48 Warren Road, has oodles of old world charm, with original features including tongue-in-groove timber walls, elevated ceilings and jarrah floors.
There’s a cozy kitchen with its original ornate Metters wood stove, and the bathroom enjoys an original metal claw-footed bath and pedestal sink. The beautiful jarrah, pressed-tin and zincalume feature walls add to the feeling that you’ve walked into yesteryear.
The cottage has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and the third with a single – able to sleep five people in total. Every room is furnished in a quirky, colourful retro-chic style.
Two reverse cycle air-conditioners do a great job of both heating and cooling the cottage, and there are ceiling fans in the front rooms for warm days. On chilly winter nights you’ll appreciate the electric blankets on every bed.
The lovely renovated bathroom offers the elegant antique bath, a toilet and a handbasin, and there’s a separate shower room. The young ones will be happy to discover a box of toys in the third bedroom and a huge backyard ready for a game of cricket. Poppy’s Place is also equipped with complimentary wifi.
