This scenic drive around Nannup has been classified as the most picturesque in the State. It’s special because the Nannup Balingup Rd is a winding sealed road that meanders along beside the Blackwood River and Balingup Brook. Read more…
Ellis Creek Mill site & the King Jarrahs
Located off the Balingup Rd on State Forest gravel roads, this historic site is of significant regional importance. Ellis Creek was an early settlers’ working mill that operated between the years 1912 to 1925. Approximately 150 people lived at the Mill site. Read more…
Margaret River Day Trip
The Margaret River Region is recognised internationally as a premium tourism destination. Margaret River is a 40 minute drive from Nannup – we recommend a loop route to save doubling back.
Travel south out of town on the Brockman Highway toward Karridale. Turn left if you wish to visit Augusta or go to the beach. Margaret River is to the north.

Nannup, Donnelly Mill & One Tree Bridge
Donnelly River Village is an historic settlement around a once thriving mill operation. It’s now a low-key tourism development with a real village atmosphere. One of the main features is the emus and kangaroos wandering the streets. One can only imagine the difficult lives the early settlers encountered whilst clearing and felling the surrounding forest.
